Continuing the prayer series for the morning we move now to the bathing prayer. Make a cup of your hands and, allowing the water to drain slowly, recite the following.

गङ्गे च यमुने चैव गोदावरि सरस्वति ।

नर्मदे सिन्धु कावेरि जलेऽस्मिन् संनिधिं कुरु ॥

ganga cha yamune chaiva godavarii sarasvati

narmade sindhu kaaveri jale'smin sannidhim kuru

O Holy Rivers Ganga and Yamuna, and also Godavari and Saraswati,
Narmada, Sindhu and Kaveri; Please be Present in this Water 

(and make it Holy).
